CHAMPION BRINDLEOAK BIANCA
The first CC winner and Champion for Brindleoak
The Kennel was first established near Mansfield in Nottinghamshire. We moved south to Matchams just
outside the Market town of Ringwood on the edge of the New Forest in 1984.
The Affix Brindleoak belongs to Kevin Holmes. The affix was chosen as the Holmes familys first Cairn was a brindle and the
family home was situated very close to the 'Major Oak' in Sherwood Forest. The Affix Davmar belongs to David Winsley and
has been used since about 1969, formed by using the first few letters of family christian names and was first used when David
bred Rough Collies in the Midlands.
The two kennels combined in 1979, since then we have worked together to produce terriers of excellent breed type,
soundness in construction and temperament. Between the two affixes we have bred or owned 20 Champions in all three breeds. The
total number of CCs won by the kennel or its stock is 147 to date. All our dogs are prepared and handled by ourselves.
Both of us are well known throughout the 'Dog World', both of us have judged in many countries throughout the world. David
awards CCs in all the three terrier breeds owned and is judging Cairns at Crufts 2006. Kevin awards CCs in both Cairns and Sealyhams
and judged Cairns at Crufts in 2003.
